This product is milled from organic spelt grains that have had some of the bran layer reduced. Since it has fewer hulls, this flour has a lighter colour and is not as heavy as organic whole spelt flour. The flour is unbleached and additive free.
Spelt flour is a good source of fibre and protein. The texture is light and airy like wheat flour and can be substituted in baking cakes, cookies, pancakes and bread for a healthier alternative to wheat flour.
