Amano Tamari, 500ml
Ingredients: Filtered Water, Certified Organic Whole Soy Beans, Certified Organic Wheat, Sea Salt, Brewing Starter (Aspergillus Sojae)
Tamari (or tamari shoyu) is a Japanese sauce made from fermented soybeans. It has a thicker consistency and a more balanced flavor than Chinese soy sauce, making it a good choice for a dipping sauce. It’s also vegan and gluten-free. Use tamari straight from the bottle to add salt, umami, and extra nutrients to food.
Tamari is a soy based sauce and has its own distinct flavor, mainly because it is made differently from all other soy sauces. Tamari is pressed from the liquid that drains from miso paste (fermented soybean paste) as it ages. Soy sauce, on the other hand, is made of a fermented and brewed mixture of soybeans, wheat, and other grains.
This organic Amano Tamari Soy Sauce is aged for a year before it is bottled. It offers a more robust, complex flavour than other soy sauces.
Amano has a legacy of producing high-grade, artisanal Japanese food products. Since 1939, the Amano family name has stood for quality in naturally brewed soy sauce and miso. Drawing on three generations of Japanese brewing traditions, Amano’s products are carefully aged, resulting in a superior finish.
